Washington, D.C. (SportsNetwork.com) - D.C. United forward Fabian Espindola has been suspended for a total of six games and fined an undisclosed amount, MLS announced THursday. The punishment stems from Espindolas post-match actions following D.C. Uniteds Eastern Conference semifinal match against Red Bull New York on Nov. 8. Espindola was issued a red card for violent conduct which carries an automatic two-game suspension. The forward has been handed an additional four-game ban by the MLS Disciplinary Committee for contact with the assistant referee. He will miss the first six games of the 2015 MLS regular season.
